The next day Karen visited Cheri's Unique Boutique which was owned by Cheri Staley to inquire about purchasing her mastectomy swimwear. Cheri, who had three bouts with cancer, including a mastectomy, was not able to meet the demands of keeping her shop open. There was a magical connection between the two women, which they both describe as a divine intervention resulting in the formation of a solid working relationship, with Cheri moving all of her inventory to Beautiful Transitions and became the Mastectomy Manager.

Karen expanded the store, brought in the latest wigs, swimsuits and mastectomy products and then, introduced ladies clothes. The clothes we buy are for ladies 40 and up, are all very cute, stylish and washable. She went to school and learned how to style custom hair pieces and wigs for both men and women.

One by one, other angels, Jean Cornillaud & Carole Esterley, also breast cancer survivors, joined the team. Then Katana Lorenzo with 29 years in the wig and hair replacement business, completed her staff.
